All of our WordPress themes are custom coded and built using ACF (Advanced Custom Fields), which allows us to give the client complete flexibility and scalability.
Before Gutenberg in WordPress 5.0, when WordPress shipped with just one standard WYSIYYG content area, we used Flexible Content to allow clients complete control over their page layouts, essentially building a page builder with pre-defined blocks. See the video below which illustrates this:
Now with Gutenberg, which is essentially a mini-page builder in itself, we can now add our Flexible Content and blocks direct to Gutenberg.
This means clients can now enjoy the usability of Gutenberg, yet still have powerful, flexible and custom content blocks encompassed within.
