Unprotected forms on websites = spam. To combat this we can add reCAPTCHA – this blog explains how it works.
ReCAPTCHA is made by Google, the latest version is V3 and does not require a checkbox or user interaction – it works by using a combination of Google tech in the background to check if the user who submits the form is a human or a robot. These checks by Google may include things like your browser history and how you move your mouse around the webpage. If Google is still unsure if you are a robot or human, it will then show a visual reCAPTCHA as an additional layer of security.
In summary reCAPTCHA’s are a great addition to your website forms and will help reduce spam.
